Course details

In this audio-only course from How to Be Awesome at Your Job, psychologist Lea Waters talks about the tools you need to tap into your strengths. Lea points out that most of us mistake our learned behaviors for strengths. Learned behaviors are things that you excel at simply because you’ve learned to be good at them. Strengths, however, provide you with energy and self-motivation. By tapping into your strengths, you’ll experience greater satisfaction with your work. Lea shows you how to tap into your network to spot your strengths and how to use self-soothing tricks to beat anxiety. She finishes up with a discussion on the importance of laughter, which is scientifically proven to help us relax, trigger the happy chemicals in our brain, and help reset the nervous system.
