For a pattern to be effective, you need a combination of circumstances, problems, and solutions. So let me give you a few examples of common patterns. There are social media shares, signup forms, pricing tables, navigation, blog posts, and footers. So let me take a moment and apply our equation for circumstances, problems, and solutions, to one of these items here in the list. Let's look at the pricing table. So what is the circumstance? The circumstance is a user needs to find pricing on the website. What is the problem? They're looking to compare three or four different products. What would be the solution? A pricing table.
