- [Instructor] We'll be using Tableau Public to build our dashboard. It's free and runs in your browser so you don't need to download anything to your machine for this chapter. Let's navigate to Tableau Public's website. You can type in your browser id.tableau.com/register. Log into your account or create one. Then confirm your account by selecting the link in the email you received from Tableau. After you've signed in, click the link towards the bottom of the page called Tableau Public. Next, Tableau will ask you for the country or region you live in. This helps your dashboards run better by connecting you with servers closer to your area. It'll also ask you to agree to their terms and policies. Lastly, select Complete Sign-in. Tableau might prompt you with some questions about your desired use for your account. Select whatever might be applicable to you or dismiss at the bottom. At the top bar, select create, and then web authoring. Now we can start creating our dashboard…
