- [Instructor] You can define relationships between pairs of Excel tables in your workbook based on common fields, but you might accidentally identify the wrong field in one of the tables. If that occurs, your pivot table will return incorrect or perhaps no results. In this movie, I will show you one way to identify a problem and also how to edit a relationship so your pivot table returns the results that you want. My sample file is 0903 Edit, and you can find it in the Chapter Nine folder of the Exercise Files collection. On Sheet1, I have a pivot table that was created based on the data model in this workbook. And if I look over in the PivotTable Fields task pane, I see that I have two fields, Sum of Quantity, which is summarized in the pivot table, and then Product Category for which I get a blank value.
