Customize your layout with Sheet View
- A neat Excel online feature that you may wish to explore is something called sheet view. Sheet view allows you to create your own customized views and filters without impacting collaborators. So if other users have access to the same workbook, they won't see the changes that you apply. It also allows other users to create their own views without impacting your setup. So with the Excel exercise file open for this chapter, go ahead and navigate to the staff plan worksheet. And from the view menu here, let's go ahead and select new from the sheet view section. The first thing that you'll notice is that the row and column shading has changed to black. And this just simply means that sheet view has been activated. Changes that you now make to the view here won't be visible to other users. So for example, let's go ahead and select cells B four through to O four, then select data, and click on filter.
