In the last module, we introduced the main concepts of conflict of interest and looked specifically at how actual or real conflicts of interest come about. An actual or real conflict of interest is where a professional's self-interest could in fact, motivate them to act in a way that goes against their clients or employer's interest or the public interest and the person actually does have the opportunity to take that action or make that decision.
