How to prioritize digital projects

- Imagine you are in the driving seat of a new digital transformation program in a large organization. Every part of the business is likely to want its service transformed first. If you don't have a clear approach and process, it could make or break your new role or project. There is no single answer I can give you. However, having had to do this for several large public and private sector organization, there is a three step process I've evolved that you can follow and make your own. Firstly, find all the digital projects that exist. There may be project lists available, or you may choose to interview service managers or liaise with IT, who should have a technology roadmap. Your process will depend on your time, people, resources, budget to outsource or speed of delivery. Next, add projects that should exist.
