Teams respond to leaders that listen, pitch in and keep it real. Not the ones trying to pull rank. Here's what respect looks like day to day from your team. You ask them something to do and they do it. Even more respect is when they start doing things that they think you might want them to do before you ask. The fastest way to earn the respect of your team is do the work with them. Show them how it's done. Not just to explain to them to do it, but to help them get through their shift easier.
