- All products we design should satisfy a user need or business goal, but before we actually build the product, we have to specify what we're building and why in the form of a product definition. In the case study we've been referencing throughout this course, our goal is to create a product for the HR group. We learned that HR has many different functions and each persona has different objectives and tasks they're trying to accomplish. Our technical recruiter persona has key responsibilities of hiring engineers for the company, including the full recruitment lifecycle, from helping with job descriptions, sourcing candidates, and interviewing. We map that in our journey map. She's also responsible for metrics, like number of offers extended, and how long it takes from initial point of contact to a candidate to a final offer.
