Case study: Software as a service (SaaS)

- Every time you pick up your phone and use your favorite apps, you're using a digital product. Let's talk about applying design thinking to creating digital products. Digital products for the context of this course refers to mobile apps, web applications, and software. These are products that people use as part of their daily work or personal enjoyment and hobbies. We'll use a case study for creating a Software as a Service app. Software as a Service, or SaaS, is a term for web-based applications that behave like software, but you don't need to install them on your computer. You can access it on your web browser. There's a lot of examples of SaaS products that you probably use on a daily basis. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Analytics are good examples. I've developed this case study based on my own real life experience of shipping products.
