Adding movement with microinteractions
- [Narrator] In the early days of digital design for the web, mostly was mostly restricted to rollover buttons, hyperlink styles, followed by flash animations and animated GIFs and video. And that is so not true anymore, yay! The sixth principle of design we're going to explore here is movement. There are so many fun and engaging ways to add a sense of movement to a digital design, whether it's a website, infographic app, or interactive presentation. In this lesson, we'll concentrate on adding movement through design choices and microinteractions such as scrolling and animation effects. In digital and graphic design, the principle of movement refers to the suggestion of action or direction since nearly all graphic design is 2D. On the internet, however, we can work with both implied 2D movement and conditional if then movement to create even more satisfying and meaningful user interactions. So let's take a closer look.
