The advantages of a SaaS migration
- [Instructor] Adopting a software as a service application is almost always going to be easier than running the same application inside of a cloud-based virtual machine. And the reason for this is really simple. There are a lot of things that the application vendor takes care of for you that you don't have to do yourself. For example, you don't have to worry about creating a virtual machine and then making sure that the application is installed correctly. You also don't have to worry about making sure that you have the correct versions of all the application dependencies, or that you correctly configure the application. And of course you don't have to worry about keeping the application secure or keeping its patches up to date, because the application vendor handles all of that for you inside of their own cloud.
