- Data literacy isn't just your responsibility. It takes a lot of people to make it all work, and that's interesting because you get to decide how deeply you'd like to dive in to the world of data. Once you become comfortable with data, there are five or six different paths to take. You may decide none of them is right for you, and that's fine, but it's important to know who the players are so that when you're working with data, you know who's responsible for which parts. So let's follow the data flow as a way of walking through the roles and responsibilities. You might think it starts with data collection. The responsible person here is in charge of specific operation, process, or device. They run the survey. They monitor the delivery of tanker trucks. They keep tabs on the electrocardiogram machine.
