- [Speaker] Now let's jump right into our first chapter, the Process to Construction Commencement. In this chapter, we will answer the following questions. What is real estate development and how is it funded? How does a developer assess the market and then source deals? Essentially, how does a developer get to site selection? Now that a developer has selected a site, how does the developer get the land under contract and ultimately decide on a go, no-go, to complete the acquisition? This is what I am calling pre-development stage A. After pre-development stage A, pre-development stage B will take us from closing the site transaction to construction commencement.
