- [Instructor] CORS best practices and security. When working with CORS in Spring MVC, it's important to balance convenience, flexibility, and security. In this lesson, I'm going to go over CORS best practices and security considerations that will guide you through proper CORS configuration and spring MVC applications. To start us off, you're going to want to use the cross origin annotation for simplicity and specific controllers. For simple use cases, the cross origin annotation provides a quick and efficient way to configure CORS on specific endpoints. Here I've shown an example where this is easier to manage and make it clear which endpoints are CORS enabled without affecting the entire application. It really just depends on your use case. Next is global configuration for consistency. If your application has many endpoints that share the same CORS policy, it's better to configure CORS globally through web MVC configurer or a filter.
