- [Instructor] Think about your day and see if you can identify the roles played by networks. Here's some of the first things that come to my mind. Instead of having a cable TV, I have a streaming subscription that lets me watch live TV, record with a cloud based DVR, and view tons of other online content. That's possible because the different TVs in my home connect into my home network using wired or wireless connections. And then my home network connects out to the internet. But besides just watching TV, there are lots of other things I do online. I also watch video content on other platforms. I occasionally scroll through my social media sites. And I'll have audio video calls with my family, friends, and clients who are around the world. I can do that using virtual meeting tools.
