(bouncy music) - [Instructor] In this video, we want to talk about a couple of OSPF network types. And even though this is not a comprehensive listing, the CCNA exam blueprint wants you to know about two specific OSPF network type, and those are broadcast and point-to-point network types. First, let's consider the broadcast network type. That's what we see pictured here, and this is where we can have two or more routers with interfaces on the same subnet, specifically the same ethernet subnet. In fact, broadcast, that's the default network type on any of our ethernet interfaces. And on screen, you see routers R1, R2, R3, they each have an interface on the same subnet. And we said earlier that it was in a situation like this where we might not want to have a full mesh of adjacencies when we have multiple routers with interfaces on the same subnet. And the way to address that you might recall was we wanted to elect a DR and a BDR, which stand for a designated router and a backup…
