- [Narrator] As I already mentioned, Tableau is a powerful visualization tool. We also talked about the importance of including intuitive visuals in your documentation throughout a project. In this lesson, let's import our capital bike rental data into Tableau and try to do a descriptive analysis. The first task is to connect our data file to Tableau. We have a dot CSV file, therefore choose More. Choose Bike_rental. Click on Open. Let's change the sheet name to Capital Bike Rental Statistics. Switch your connection option to Extract, because our data is not going to be updated periodically. Click on Sheet One and save the extracted data in Tableau's native format. Let's build our first data visualization. Under Dimensions, click on Season and drag it to Columns. Under Measures, choose Bike Rental Count and drag it to Rows.
