From the course: Business Analytics Foundations: Descriptive, Exploratory, and Explanatory Analytics

Getting started with business analytics

- [Kumaran] Business analytics is gaining an increasing role in driving businesses. This course is an introductory overview to Business Analytics. I will start off by basic definitions, distinctions and process of business analytics. Then I will cover the first three stages on business analytics, dealing with analysis about the past, namely descriptive, exploratory and explanatory analytics. For each stage, I will explore definitions, processes, tools, and techniques, and best practices. I will use an email campaign use case throughout the course to show how analytics is executed in each of these stages. My name is Kumaran Ponnambalam, welcome to this Business Analytics foundations course covering descriptive, exploratory, and explanatory analytics. I hope this course helps you to apply the learnings into your business and to keep your customers happy. So let's get started.
