- Making learning real, practical and relevant are a few of the key concepts we need to aim for when thinking about our team's development. And one of our responsibilities is to help people to make new connections between what they do, how they do it and the impact that this has. One way to do this is through incorporating new learnings into daily work. This is known as learning in the flow of work. It's a concept created by Josh Bersin which is essentially about moving away from learning being large programmatic responses to more of a bite sized, applicable and agile method of skills and development. It involves learning something small and then putting that straight into practice. The learning could be as simple as an online article, a YouTube video, or even observing a colleague demonstrate different ways of doing things. Think about it.
