AWS global networking in Terraform: Introduction

- Hello, my name is Chad Smith, and I'd like to welcome you to my course, AWS Global Networking in Terraform. Amazon Web Services, AWS, is the world's most popular cloud provider. Over the past several years, the number of companies using AWS has grown at a rapid rate, and these companies are increasingly requiring hands-on AWS skills for technical positions. HashiCorp's Terraform is the most popular third party infrastructure as code IAC tool used for deploying and maintaining AWS resources. This course targets hands-on skills specific to network infrastructure and will provide directed learning in several important areas. First, it will cover the basics of terraform and infrastructure as code concepts. We will discuss how the usage of Terraform can be optimized to meet resilient DevOps principles. Next, the course will introduce the real world scenario details and requirements. These requirements will be explained and visualized. The remainder of the video course will cover the implementation of these requirements. We will begin with a single VPC deployment and gradually add infrastructure to build up an entire global network with EC2 instances for testing connectivity. A little bit about me. My name is Chad Smith, and I've spent years working with AWS in various roles. I've engaged with AWS customers for systems operations, security, and architecture. As an AWS architect and operations professional, I draw upon my own experiences and decisions made in the trenches to illustrate the concepts covered in this video course. Technology has always been my passion, and I find that AWS keeps me on my toes with the increasing pace of evolution of the ecosystem. I want to share this passion with you by bringing all of my excitement and energy into your AWS learning journey.
