- [Instructor] On-Demand Instances enable you to pay your compute capacity by the hour or by the second with no long-term commitments. You can launch an instance anytime you like it and terminate it if you don't need it anymore. Just as its name suggests, you can deploy this type of EC2 instance on demand or based on the demand of your workloads. One primary benefit of the On-Demand option is that you'll only be paying for the time used by your EC2 instances. It runs only when needed, yet it remains active for the duration of the process without any interruptions. It allows you to run uninterrupted workloads for mission-critical applications or for jobs that cannot be interrupted once started.
