Copy the ceiling to create a new floor
- [Instructor] Next up is the second floor slab, and we can simply copy the ceiling up and change its layer to create the slab. I'm going to use the copy command and select this cyan-colored 3D solid. I'll just copy that up using Ortho some arbitrary distance above, and then let's take a look at the thickness of this. So I'm going to use the distance command, DI, and you can see that this is two inches thick. I want this slab to be six inches thick. So I'm going to use the PRESSPULL command. Type PRESS, Enter, click on this surface, and pull it up and type four, Enter, to thicken it to a total of six inches thick. Next let's go over to the layer properties manager and let's click on the floor layer, create a new layer underneath that, and call it dash FLOOR2. And while I'm at it, I'm going to rename the original floor layer FLOOR1. So FLOOR2 is also going to be yellow, and I don't necessarily need to set that as the current layer because all I need to do is change the layer assignment…
