Let me use this lesson to make two major points. First, when complex data is converted into charts, graphs, and trend lines, it's easier to understand the problem and test solutions. The second point is that it's imperative that HR leaders need to work closely with their data analytics, and financial teams to fully understand the business issues involved in any change program. Let me use this story to demonstrate these points. For example, imagine that you're working in a midsize company and notice an alarming rate of employee turnover within the distribution and logistics departments. If the trend continues, it would disrupt operations and impact overall delivery schedules. In this situation, HR needs to work with the data analytics team and the head of warehouse operations to figure out the cause of the problem.
