AI-Assisted Search and Projects in Recruiter

Last updated: 1 month ago

AI-Assisted Search and Projects in LinkedIn Recruiter is a generative AI (GAI) feature that will save time by enabling you to quickly search for candidates, create projects, and get recommendations just by stating what you need in your own words into a prompt box and chat experience. You’ll find this feature in your homepage, project creation, and search experience.

Who can use this feature?

This feature is currently available to a subset of LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services customers whose language setting is English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish or Turkish. Advanced AI Search is exclusively available to LinkedIn Recruiter customers with English language settings and isn’t accessible to LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services customers. We are gradually making this experience available, and you might not have access to it at this time. For more precise timing, contact your LinkedIn account team.

AI-Assisted Search

You can start a search with AI-Assisted Search from the Recruiter homepage or the Talent pool tab of a project. To search for potential job candidates, provide a plain language input, such as “Find me Marketing Managers in Dublin with sales enablement experience” or "Find me someone like [ideal candidate's name]" into the search tool. AI-Assisted Search will analyze and interpret what you wrote and instantly populate the right search filters, based on your context and intent, to match your criteria. After your initial search results, AI-Assisted Search will also provide you with additional suggestions.

With AI-Assisted Search, you can:

  • Describe your hiring needs in your own words and the tool will create search filters for you.
  • Start a Boolean search in the search bar.
  • Click the icon on the right side of the search bar and select from one of the prompt template options:
    • Generate or refine a boolean search: Create a new Boolean search or paste an existing one and ask for Al-powered suggestions to improve it.
    • Ask for Al insights about your talent pool: Ask for insights about your talent pool like top skills, companies with layoffs, or common job titles.
    • Create a search from a job description: Generate a search using an existing job description.
    • Create a search from a profile: Use a member's profile to generate a search for similar candidates with @.
  • Receive actionable insights to help you think outside the box and expand your search.
  • Click Show filters and manually adjust the search filters or try different inputs to reach the desired outcomes.
  • Use AI-supported suggestions to refine your search and uncover even more qualified talent.
  • Provide in-product feedback by clicking the thumbs up or thumbs down icon if the results do not meet your expectations so the product can learn from this and improve over time.
  • Ask a question related to your Recruiter contract or experience. For example, you can ask “What are automated pipeline stages?” to learn more about a feature.
  • Add a job description in the search bar to find candidates that meet the role’s requirements.
  • Access Advanced AI Search to add, edit, or delete required and preferred qualifications in the filter pane on the left, and view an AI summary on the candidate profile card detailing why they’re a good fit.
    • Note: Advanced AI Search is currently available to LinkedIn Recruiter customers whose language setting is English and isn’t available to LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services customers at this time.

You can view the performance of AI-Assisted Search in the Recruiter Usage report. To view the Usage report from your Recruiter homepage, move your cursor over Reports and select Usage from the dropdown.

AI-Assisted Projects

You can create a project with AI-Assisted Projects from the search bar on the Recruiter homepage or from the Projects page. As you create your project, provide a plain language input, such as “Make the project remote and full-time” or “How do I change the visibility of my project?” into the project creation tool. AI-Assisted Projects will provide recommendations to optimize your project.

With AI-Assisted Projects, you can:

  • Use your own words to create your project. The conversational experience will set up the right criteria to match.
  • Use AI-supported suggestions to refine your project and uncover even more qualified talent.
  • Receive actionable insights to refine your project.
  • Provide in-product feedback by clicking the thumbs up or thumbs down icon if the results do not meet your expectations so the product can learn from this and improve over time.
  • Ask a question related to your Recruiter contract or experience. For example, you can ask “How do I change the visibility of my project?” to learn more.
