Edit the targeted audience settings of your Life or What We Do Page

Last updated: 2 years ago

With LinkedIn Career Pages, you can create targeted audience pages for the Life or What We Do tab to showcase different aspects of your organization's culture.

Here's a tip

Pages for companies, universities, colleges, and high schools will have a Life tab. Pages for search and staffing companies will have a What We Do tab.

To edit your target audience settings:

  1. Go to your Page super admin view.

  2. Click Life or What we do in the left menu.

  3. Scroll down to the targeted audience page that you want to edit. The pages are separated by Published (publicly visible) and Unpublished (not publicly visible) pages.

    • You can also edit the targeting of an existing page or create a new page at any time.
  4. Click the More icon of the page you want to update.

  5. Select Edit Targeting Settings from the dropdown.

  6. Click Yes to indicate that you want to Create a non-targeted page.

    • Selecting Yes will make the page's content recommended for general interest and will be available to all Page visitors. You won't be able to specify any target audience settings.
  7. Click No to define viewer attributes including:

    • Allow non-targeted user to see page - Specify if the page will be visible to all members, regardless if they're in the target audience.
    • Language - Click Add language to specify which languages you'd like to target.
    • Geography - Click Add geography to specify which locations you'd like to target.
    • Job function - Click Add job function to specify which job functions you'd like to target.
  8. Click Show advanced targeted settings to specify Industry, Company size and Seniority level target settings.

    • If your settings created a narrow audience, try removing some targeting criteria to broaden your scope.
    • Use the Confirm your targeting module on the right side of the page to identify the ideal candidate you'd like to target. If they're targeted based on your current settings, they'll appear on the Targeted tab.
  9. Click Save targeting.

Results:

  • After choosing your settings, the targeting tool will automatically show you how many viewers are being targeted on the right side of the page. The Estimated target audience is the number of potential LinkedIn visitors who can see the page you're creating.
