Meet Rehan Jaweed, Sports Coordinator! “To me, being part of the AAPI community means being connected to many cultures and traditions. It’s about respecting the past, celebrating who we are, and growing together.” As an Indian American and practicing Muslim, Rehan draws strength from his roots. Whether it’s gathering with family for Eid-al-Fitr or enjoying pani puri, his culture has shaped him with values like honesty, humility, and compassion. Growing up, Rehan looked up to athletes like Jeremy Lin and Hines Ward—people who showed him that Asian Americans can thrive on the big stage. Now, as our Sports Coordinator, he’s proud to be that kind of role model for the next generation, creating space, celebrating identity, and helping youth feel a strong sense of belonging.
