The project team left no detail in the rearview — bringing creativity, collaboration, and care to every step of the journey. We can’t wait to share this project with the world on July 22 at Walt Disney World!
After more than five decades with Walt Disney Imagineering, Kim Irvine is retiring. Kim began her career in 1970 as a painter and model builder at WED Enterprises. Over the years, her creativity and leadership have left a lasting imprint across Disney parks around the world, most notably, Disneyland. As Executive Creative Director of Imagineering’s Anaheim office, Kim helped lead the ongoing care and enhancement of Walt’s original park and mentored Imagineers around the world. Her passion for color, architecture, detail, and storytelling helped shape the guest experience in ways that will be felt for generations. Thank you, Kim, for your imagination, dedication, and heart!

Last week at the IEEE Evolution Conference, Daniel Joseph took the stage as a keynote speaker, inviting attendees behind the curtain of Walt Disney Imagineering. In a panel titled “Inventing the Magic with Illusion Development,” Daniel shared how the evolution of science and technology shape the illusions, special effects, and unforgettable experiences our guests encounter in Disney Experiences around the world.
When Frozen Ever After opens at Disneyland Paris in 2026, it’ll include a splash of extra magic — treated water from Disney flumes around the world. 💧✨
