Today’s early-career veterinarians are entering the workforce with $150,000 to $200,000 in student loan debt — facing one of the highest debt-to-income ratios of any profession. That’s why we’ve joined top U.S. healthcare systems in partnering with Clasp to offer student loan contributions that reward retention and make veterinary careers more accessible to the next generation of veterinary professionals. VCA has long been committed to environmental stewardship as highlighted in the 2024 Sustainable in a Generation Report. At VCA, we're doing our part to diversify and expand our sustainable practices. Today, we're testing specialty recycling services in some of our locations. This new program has the potential to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills. This initiative is part of our broader effort to minimize our impact on the planet and promote sustainability across our practice.

Today VCA honors and recognizes Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day. Juneteenth is a time of reflection, learning, and action. Our AAmbition Associate Resource Group brought Associates from across Mars together to engage in learning and reflection. The conversation focused on 'leading without a title' and panelists shared their personal stories and lived experiences. Panelists reflected on how they’ve stepped into leadership in unexpected ways and how we can all use our voices to drive change, foster inclusion, and uplift others in the workplace and beyond. Today, and everyday we encourage you to uplift those around you and identify ways to actively promote inclusion and belonging.
