Tronox is excited to announce our partnership with the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA) to study the rich biodiversity surrounding our Bahia, Brazil site. This collaboration will focus on both terrestrial and marine life, highlighting the remarkable variety of species in the region. Our land, spanning over 3.3 million square meters along the BA-099 highway, includes Environmental Protection Areas (APAs). We proudly advise the APAs of the Joanes River, Capivara River, and Guarajuba Lakes. This agreement ensures safe access for UFBA researchers and promotes scientific activities. Professor Francisco Kelmo emphasizes the significance of this partnership for advancing scientific knowledge and creating opportunities for students. Gabriel Medina, our Environmental Leader, adds that this collaboration demonstrates how industry and rich biodiversity can coexist sustainably. Together, we're paving the way for a future where industry and nature thrive in harmony. https://lnkd.in/ehwCED_Q #Sustainability #Biodiversity #EnvironmentalProtection #Tronox #UFBA #Research #Conservation #SustainableIndustry #GreenInitiatives

Great night at the CIA awards. Nominated for the ED&I award but unfortunately on this occasion we didn’t come away with the prize. Still a great achievement to make the shortlist and to be recognised. Hopeful to make the shortlist next year in a few different categories. Congratulations to all the companies who do win tonight. This year, our team in Oklahoma City, US, raised over $24,000 for the March of Dimes, contributing to an impressive total of more than $275,000 since 2006. These funds play a vital role in supporting research, programs, and advocacy aimed at ensuring healthy pregnancies and addressing health equity for all families. To make the fundraising even more exciting, we wrapped up with the highly anticipated Water Challenge, braving icy buckets for a great cause. Thank you to all our generous colleagues who made this achievement possible and to Diane Smith for representing us at the March of Dimes' Walk for Babies.

Tronox is proud to support Clare Public School, a vital institution located in far western New South Wales, Australia, near our Atlas-Campaspe site, as it celebrates its 40th anniversary! With just 11 students, this school serves as a cornerstone of its community, providing quality education to children who travel long distances. To commemorate this significant milestone, the students collaborated with artist and teacher Zowie Crump to create a vibrant mural. Their individual artwork was transformed into a large-scale design using digital tools and spray paint, funded by Tronox’s Regional School Partnership Program. This beautiful mural stands as a lasting tribute to the school's legacy and the creativity of its students and staff. At Tronox, we take pride in enriching education in regional communities through meaningful initiatives like this one.

As part of Environment Week in Brazil, our Bahia team collaborated with local partners to clean up the beach, collecting nearly 100 kg of waste, including plastics and Styrofoam. This initiative, led by our Environmental Leader, Gabriel Medina, reflects our commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement. Gabriel noted, "Culture is shaped by the actions people take naturally," emphasizing that small, consistent efforts can create a significant impact. The beach cleanup was just one aspect of Bahia’s Environment Week, which also included educational talks and exhibits, reinforcing our belief in the power of collaborative sustainability. At Tronox, we strive to protect our environment every day, understanding that our actions today shape a better tomorrow. #EW2025 #sustainability

We recently had the pleasure of hosting students from Reddam School at our Northern Operations in South Africa. Since one of this year’s focus areas in their classroom was on titanium, their educational tour offered a rare behind-the-scenes look at the step-by-step journey of titanium, from its extraction as raw ore to its refinement into a usable product—their textbooks. The visit began with a warm welcome from Junior Koegelenberg, Site Director for Northern Operations, and continued with geological insights, key facts, and live views of mining activities. Students were then guided through the titanium extraction and refinement process, gaining a deeper understanding of the science behind the industry. The day concluded at the Mineral Separation Plant (MSP), the tour’s highlight, where students observed the advanced technology and precision of the separation process, led by Virgil Issel, Operations Manager at MSP. A huge thank you to our dedicated team for making this visit an incredible learning experience for all involved. The tour enhanced students' understanding of the mineral industry while highlighting the role of innovation and sustainability in modern mining—a day of discovery and real-world learning.
