What makes a company special? I get that question often, and it’s always an easy one to answer: the people. At MetLife, our employees are committed to a single purpose that binds all of us, to always be there for our customers and for each other. It’s a commitment I can see and feel across every team and location. This week, we’re celebrating a powerful example of that spirit—the 10-year anniversary of our Global Technology Hub in Cary, NC. What started out as a bold vision for a state-of-the-art, collaborative workspace has turned into a vibrant community of employees who collectively help us drive transformation across the enterprise. Over the past decade, we’ve built more than just technology, data, service and operations solutions and world-class support — we’ve built a vibrant culture, deep expertise and a strong community presence. In fact, MetLife Foundation and our employee volunteers support organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement USA, Marbles Kids Museum and Rise Against Hunger, among others. Our site has also become a hub to convene the industry through forums like Triangle Tech X and the North Carolina Technology Association (NC TECH)/MetLife Center for Technology Workforce Innovation.   Congratulations to all of the employees at our Cary campus on 10 successful years. They truly make MetLife a company of one! #AllTogetherPossible #Cary #NorthCarolina #ResearchTriangle NCTECH/MetLife Center for Tech Workforce Innovation: https://lnkd.in/eKvH46cD

Marbles Kids Museum's Exhibits Team has done it again! We've upgraded kid-favorite Moneypalooza to include a more-accessible armored truck with a combo-lock where you can see the insides and how it works. I say "we" but really, I just got out of this amazing team's way and let them do what they do. Check it out next time you're in downtown Raleigh! 💰

We won the ‘Marbles Backwards Science Fair’—judged by the KIDS! Out of 30 teams, only 16 made it to the final round. Our team took the top spot, voted entirely by hundreds of kids at the Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh, NC, USA. Over the years, professors, reviewers, and experts have evaluated my work. But this time, the most curious and honest minds “children”—were the judges. And they chose us. We showcased the science of textiles, from basic weaving to advanced fabric circuits, including a fully functional Fabric Piano. STEM, touch, and music, all woven together. Leading this outreach project was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my journey in science. Huge thanks to my incredible teammates, Ethan H. and Haleigh Mullikin, for their creativity, energy, and collaboration. A heartfelt thank-you to the entire team specially Nikki D'Agostino ,Jonathan Frederick at Marbles Kids Museum, and Dr. Jory Weintraub for organizing such a meaningful and engaging event. Their dedication to STEM education made this experience truly special for both kids and scientists alike. This reminded me: while we work toward next-gen technologies, our greatest impact may be the spark we light in the next generation. Also, thankful to Dr. Amanda Mills and NC State Wilson College of Textiles for the opportunity. #STEMEducation #Wearables #FabricTech #ScienceCommunication #FutureScientists #TextileInnovation #MarblesKidsMuseum #ScienceOutreach #e-textiles
