Introducing Mahmood Hassan, a remarkable first-generation student at our partner college, University of Missouri-Kansas City; and member of our 2025 First Gen class. Born in Boulder, Colorado, Mahmood excelled academically from a young age, advancing through Algebra and skipping grades, while also being actively involved in community service. Despite facing significant mental health challenges, Mahmood has channeled his experiences into a desire to uplift others. He emphasizes authenticity and the connection between personal and professional growth.
