  • Did you know that only 4% of donations go toward programs supporting girls, and a tiny 1% go to organizations and programs supporting Black girls? We need to do better. For over two decades, Girls For A Change has championed Black girls, providing a brave space for participants to explore passions, express themselves, and develop skills. We couldn't do that without supporters like DTLR, Inc.. Now we're calling on you to help us rewrite the narrative! Make a donation or become a sustaining donor. Your monthly contribution helps us ensure we have funds to support our ongoing work and programs. ➡️ https://heyor.ca/ZhLHLo

  • Congratulations to all of the News & Docs Emmy nominees and winners! Daughters Documentary was up for two Emmys: 🏆 Outstanding Social Issue Documentary 🏆 Outstanding Direction While we didn't take home any awards, it was cool to see Frida director Carla Gutiérrez win for Outstanding Direction! Earlier this year, our VMFA Girl Action Team watched her documentary and got to meet her via Zoom to ask about the filmmaking process and gain more insights on the life and work of Frida Kahlo. Daughters is more than a documentary; it's a call for family reunification and criminal justice reform. It's a love letter to Black girls who have experienced the pain of having a parent behind bars. Join our Impact Campaign to continue this work. ➡️ Partner with us to implement the Date With Dad Program in your facility: https://heyor.ca/YZEZla ➡️ Make a donation: https://heyor.ca/Nk0VLz ➡️ Host an Impact Screening: https://heyor.ca/8q11fi ➡️ Watch and like Daughters on Netflix: https://heyor.ca/iyPLDA
