Today, we're taking a look at an improvement idea implemented back in 2022 to see how the process is going: CIP 128! This project tackled a significant challenge: the time-consuming manual attachment of sales order documents in Oracle. The solution? Seek to design an automatic attachment process. We caught up with Michael Anderson, a key player in implementing CIP 128, to learn more. Michael shared that this vital improvement has yielded impressive results since its inception in 2022: • Total minutes saved: 110,380 • Total hours saved: 1,840 His advice for future CIP submissions? "Find the right members for the team, meet regularly, and everyone has a say." We continue our series on building a strong safety culture with a focus on proactive risk management and ensuring access to necessary resources. By conducting regular risk assessments, providing appropriate safety resources, and performing periodic audits, we empower our employees to work safely and prevent potential incidents. Key elements of proactive risk management and resource provision: Thorough Risk Assessments: Managers and supervisors conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all workstations and work areas to identify potential hazards. Provision of Safety Resources: Based on the risk assessments, necessary safety resources, such as personal protective equipment (PPE), safety guards, and updated procedures, are provided to ensure employees can perform their jobs safely. Regular Audits and Inspections: EHS and the Safety Committee conduct periodic audits and inspections to verify compliance with safety requirements and ensure the effectiveness of existing controls.
