Premature failures happen… We see it every day. Structures that are only 10 to 15 years old (or younger) are failing. With Exo’s QA/QC services, like in-plant inspections, you can safeguard against these risks and ensure every component meets the highest standards. Utility leaders and EPCs let Exo offer our expertise. Schedule a private Exo Lunch and Learn to discuss proactive Quality Services. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/e5N6jnp9

Assess the health of your structures Before the next weather event… During routine groundline assessments of aging lattice towers, extensive corrosion is often discovered. What could Exo do to help the utility stabilize the vulnerable structures in the short term (to get through hurricane season) and extend their useful life for the long haul? The top 10 US Retailers have learned light poles = risk… Exo can save you (Stadiums, Big Box retailers, commercial property managers, etc.) in cost and liability by remediating or replacing your aging or damaged lighting poles. Better yet, let Exo pay attention to the health and integrity of your lighting structures before there is a problem. At least 6% of poles have a problem and are ready to fail. If you’re unaware of the health of your structures, let us help you. Don't wait until you have a catastrophic failure to find out. Speed is undefeated  in sports and in construction… It’s a myth that quality inspections delay delivery.  In reality, when quality assurance is not a priority and costly mistakes surface later, it damages the relationship. It can be devastating financially. In the last ten years alone, Exo has tracked more than $500 million lost due to quality escapes and delays in manufacturing for utility customers. A third-party quality assurance inspection, at one or more stages in the asset lifecycle, could make all the difference in keeping momentum going and is an incredible insurance policy for an EPC firm and the utility. Realizing quality escapes too late Can cost a utility millions of dollars.   Even the best manufacturers and in-house inspectors will miss things. A missed welding issue today can lead to a million-dollar failure tomorrow. That’s not hypothetical—it’s what we investigate all the time.   Exo helps utilities: • Catch problems before they’re buried • Build resilience against failure • Protect systems under stress: corrosion, wildfire, wind   The best repair is the one you never need. What is a “premature failure”? And what would cause it? A premature failure happens when a new utility structure fails long before the end of its lifecycle. Most of the catastrophic failures Exo investigates are "premature failures" due to issues in manufacturing, construction, assembly, erection, etc. (not a wind or weather event, nor design issues). Many of these structures are between 10 and 15 years old and are not considered to be aging infrastructure. What do you do about it? Third-party QA/QC services will help you catch costly quality escapes before they leave the plant and prior to the manufacturer’s warranty expiring (and financial liability transferring hands). Risk belongs to the manufacturer… Not the Utility   Utility leaders specify a 3rd party quality assessment on newly manufactured structrues, when they want to transfer risk (not absorb it when the warranty expires).   You shouldn’t pay for failure that was baked in before you took ownership. But if you don’t document quality during construction and commissioning, that’s exactly what happens.   Exo-certified QA gives utilities: • End-of-warranty leverage • Inspection records for every milestone • Risk shifted back where it belongs • The least expensive “insurance policy” ever   Don’t inherit manufacturing problems that are not yours to own. Timing is everything…. and you’re already late   Most quality oversight for new utility construction occurs in the field, after the fabricated materials arrive.   That’s too late.   Exo puts experienced inspectors inside fabrication facilities to catch issues early, before the steel ever hits the ground.   • In-plant QA • Vendor oversight • Inspection records that hold up under scrutiny   Real quality that endures beyond the warranty starts before delivery.
