Dear Friends and Colleagues: It is with deep sadness that we at the CMSC announce that our founder, CEO, friend and guiding star, June Halper, has passed away. Over the course of a remarkable 50 year career, June’s vision and sheer force of will brought together a team dedicated to making the lives of people living with MS better. The MS community and countless patients and their families are forever changed by her compassion, friendship, and vision. We are heartbroken but determined to carry on her legacy. A memorial service to celebrate June’s life and legacy will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Louis Suburban Chapel, 13-01 Broadway, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410, at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652. Colleagues, friends, and those whose lives were touched by June are invited to join in honoring her memory. CMSC members enjoy many activities and benefits: Our annual education conference provides a rich networking opportunity to meet leading MS professionals from all areas of MS care and research. Members also receive our membership directory and other publications of the CMSC. As an international clearinghouse for research results, the latest treatments, clinical trials, and patient education programs, we provide our members with the most current information about MS for both themselves and their patients. In addition, members receive access to speakers bureaus, one-on-one consultations with CMSC staff, and members-only web site resources. Lastly, membership gives you and your organization a chance to be involved directly in shaping the future of MS care and collaborative research. Our Vision-To be the pre-eminent organization of Multiple Sclerosis health care providers improving the lives of those affected by multiple sclerosis. Our Mission- Stimulating and facilitating research in the field of multiple sclerosis.
