At Ingeborg Initiatives, we focus on the systems that support economic opportunity for moms, kids & families. That’s why we’re paying attention to a new poll from Bipartisan Policy Center and Cygnal, because it highlights a growing consensus that child care is a critical problem that needs solving. Among Republican primary voters: - 90% agree that affordable, reliable child care is essential for working families and a strong economy. - 72% of business owners and parents say they or someone they know has turned down a job or promotion, or reduced work hours, because of child care challenges. - 3 in 4 say child care access is a serious challenge in their community. - 2 in 3 worry these shortages hurt local businesses. - 1 in 3 believe their town could lose jobs because of it. In a state like Arkansas, where nearly half of children under five live in child care deserts, this should be a wake-up call. Families, especially moms, are being forced to make hard choices. Everyone pays the price when families can’t access consistent, high-quality child care. No matter the political leanings, voters are recognizing the need to support families. Leaders across the aisle should treat child care the way families already do: as essential. Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/dTP6WVrB

Our national debt is driving up housing costs. 📈🏘️ When the federal government spends more on interest, there's less for housing assistance. Higher interest rates also stall new housing projects and make mortgages more expensive. 💸 Tackling the national #debt is tough—but possible. Watch the video to learn more: https://lnkd.in/e2hXc2T5
