    Helping you transform your career

🚀 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐟 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧) If you’ve seen some roles that have 500+ applicants and thought: “Should I even bother applying? Does the movement really need more people like me? Why does Animal Advocacy Careers keep encouraging more people to apply" I get it. It can be demotivating to hear about 500+ applicants for 1 role. Here’s why we’re still working hard to bring in more talent, and why 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝. 🤗 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝 If you’re one of the few lucky enough to care deeply, to question the status quo, and to want to dedicate your career to helping animals *you owe it to yourself and to them to find your best-fit path* Let’s zoom out: only a tiny fraction of people on the planet care deeply about animals. An even smaller fraction is actively working to protect farmed animals. Yes, our movement is growing, but we’re still the minority by far. That makes your contribution all the more important. The animal advocacy movement has far more open problems than open roles. That’s frustrating when you’re job hunting, but it also means you have more flexibility to help where you’re most needed, even if it’s not where you first expected to be 👇 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐫 In a movement where resources are limited and the stakes are high, we have to be EVEN MORE thoughtful about how we hire. Research shows that performance isn’t evenly spread. It tends to follow a pattern where a small number of people produce a large share of the results. Consistently showing that approximately 20% of individuals or entities account for 80% of the results. This is true across many fields, including nonprofits and advocacy. It's not a statement about someone’s worth, but it is a practical truth about impact and how much we can help animals if we pay attention. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬. 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐬. We continue to search and bring in more people, not to make things harder for applicants, but to make progress faster for animals. 🔍 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 💡 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲’𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐭. After reviewing hundreds of applications, I’ve seen how common it is to “tunnel” into roles that feel familiar, without stepping back to assess real fit, this can lead to missed opportunities and more rejection than necessary. If any of this rings true, we are here to help you! And please don't give up on animals! You might just be searching in the wrong place 🥰
