My lessons are tailored for each students need. Personalize the lesson and make changes when needed. Evaluate your coaching skills. Perhaps you and the student are not compatible.

One thing I have found helpful is to ask them questions that will trigger conversations amongst other students. Give them scenarios for them to project how they feel in order for me to fully help them in areas where they need help.

Practice active listening. Work with the student you have, not the one you want. Very often, the student tells you what they want. Most of the time, voice teachers are stuck on their agendas, or in their transference and projections, to turn their focus on what is i.e. the student's needs. Personalize the class.
