Their difference on priorities of project is a very positive response of their awareness of the projects. As a Team Lead, I will ask them to start the project on my given parameters with an option of amendments during process based on the responses of co-workers. The differences will automatically vanished on completion of these projects.

When my team has conflicting project priorities, I like to start by having an open discussion. I’d listen to everyone's concerns to understand where they're coming from. Then, I’d find common ground and encourage collaboration to come up with solutions that work for everyone. We’d prioritize tasks based on what’s most impactful and create a plan together. Lastly, I’d keep checking in to see how things are going and make adjustments if needed. This helps keep everyone on the same page and moving forward together!

Priority clashes occur among team members when each memeber chase their KPI's for individual goals, as project manager we have to ensure KPI's doesn't create silos. Then ensure all team members have bird eye view of final destination/goals. The KPI's must be aligned to lead to common goal. In conflict situations, the bigger picture must be shared with teams, and let them analise what's good for achieving that, would resolve the conflict of priority.

Picture your team like travelers stuck in a traffic jam — each convinced their route is the best. Start by highlighting the common goal: everyone wants to reach the same destination. Next, encourage open dialogue where team members share why they believe their priorities matter, ensuring no one feels ignored. Use data or clear timelines to weigh the pros and cons of each idea. Once you settle on a path, restate the plan and confirm everyone’s role in moving forward. By blending empathy, transparency, and logical trade-offs, you can guide your team away from gridlock and toward a clear, collective roadmap.

Imagine a band playing different tunes: chaos! To fix it, I'd gather the team for a casual chat, like grabbing coffee, to understand everyone's conflicting priorities. By truly listening and asking "why," I'd bridge their perspectives, reminding them of the shared goal. If needed, I'd make a fair, data-driven decision, explaining the rationale clearly. Finally, I'd follow up to ensure everyone's aligned and progressing. It's about listening, clear communication, and fair decisions to get the team back in harmony.
