Everyone wants the app they're using to be easy and clear. It shouldn't be confusing or feel like a lot of work. I've noticed, when I download an app, I check how simple it is to use. If it's not easy, it becomes hard to stick with it. Keeping things simple, minimal, and to the point makes users want to spend more time on it. Making things simple, using less text, cool colors, and clear icons make it much easier to work with and keep users coming back for more.

After talking to every possible stakeholder for 30+ days, cross reference, dig, learn the domain. Then in the second 60 days, work on the patterns, the algorithms. Everything has a basic patterns, abstractions. And abstractions of abstractions. Once you understand those, designing a system becomes fairly straightforward. Date model must be robust and complete as possible. (MVP/Implementation timelines are different) But design the best system you can for all the stake holders you've talked to. MVP is great. But unless you have a vision and direction and evidence to back up your strategy, then you'll just flounder. You can always adjust as you learn. But learn as much as you can up front.

Is this an app someone will use 8 hours a day? Is it something they casually use? IS it functional? Is it a game? How much time with the user spend doing X? What information do they need when doing X? how can I get that information to them? How do I have high information density pages with clean design? Task analysis. Repetitive task optimizations. Anything to remove clicks and decisions in a process. Add AI to help inform the user. But decisions of consequence must be made by a human. Allow for mistakes, undos, etc. Design for the device needed for the task. Super complicated--laptop/PC. etc. Understand the users and information/process consumers/drivers. Design for the users lowest level of understanding. Watch then use the system.Iterate
