Make sure to truly listen and review any key notes provided. Remember to have an open mind for both sides of the story. If other names are mentioned, review other perceptions and see if the feedback is true. Open feedback should be constant in any workplace for growth, so make sure everyone gets some sort of outcome from this. Some people are unaware of their projected perception, so bring awareness with that without mentioning names - if avoidable, you don't want to redirect a conversation by singling out names. Objectivity: Evaluate the facts without personal bias. Consider both the manager's side of the story and any external factors that may have influenced their behavior. Consider Patterns: Is this behavior a one-time occurrence, or is it part of a broader pattern? Look at the history of both the manager’s and employee’s interactions, as well as past performance reviews. Personal Experience: I always try to step back and ask myself, “How would I evaluate this situation if I were not emotionally involved?” This helps me avoid any subconscious biases I may have toward the individual involved.

Transparency with the Employee: Once you have a clear understanding, be transparent with the employee about the next steps. If you're moving forward with a resolution process, let them know what they can expect. Talk to the Manager: Schedule a one-on-one conversation with the manager. Discuss the issue privately, and ask for their side of the story. Focus on facts rather than accusations, and provide them an opportunity to explain. Personal Experience: In situations where I’ve had to communicate openly, I’ve found that being direct but empathetic really helps. I approach the conversation from a “let’s work together to solve this” angle rather than coming across as confrontational.

I have managed large and small businesses my entire life. Most of the time workers can find many things wrong with managers. If you try to make staff happy you have already lost your your team. Most managers never really talk to their staffs. One example I will provide was our 0600 Operations Meeting. This involved all office staff who wanted to attend. We covered over 40 items and had breakfast too. Staff from each de,partment had reporting responsibilities with a few items. We were all back at our office by 0815, everyone was completely in the know what was going on, and were excited about that. There was no complaining about anyone.

Support for the Employee: Provide the employee with support during this process, such as check-ins, and ensure they feel safe raising further concerns if necessary. Personal Experience: In a past situation, I took action by offering the manager additional leadership training. I also made sure to provide the employee with ongoing support and reassurance, and it helped restore a sense of balance in the team

There have been several incidents, including [briefly describe], which have caused discomfort and impacted team morale. It’s best to have a one on one with both the manager and the concerned employee separately looking into their version of the conflict , once heard and processed to filter out resolution based on the teams needs and the company policy befitting both to be presented with a solution when present together to make sure even at the deliverance of the resolution their is complete transparency and no misunderstanding , flexibility even in time of deliverance is key as it could lead to another resolution deliverance meeting if the need arises based on the feedback of both in the first, here it’s important to note clarity in understanding to both is important because spending time on another meeting is less time consuming than needless dogfight

Review the Impact: After a reasonable amount of time, assess whether the actions taken were effective. Are things improving? Is the manager exhibiting the desired behavior? Is the employee satisfied with the resolution? Personal Experience: I always make it a point to follow up. Without follow-up, the solution can feel temporary. It also shows everyone involved that you’re committed to creating a better work environment long-term.
