To maintain momentum: Implement clear contractual frameworks with defined responsibilities and conflict resolution protocols Establish daily coordination meetings to address issues before they escalate Create shared KPIs that incentivize collaboration over individual performance Assign dedicated interface managers to proactively identify and resolve potential clash points Develop a tiered escalation process that resolves conflicts quickly at the appropriate level Remember: In high-stakes environments, conflict prevention through structured communication delivers more value than reactive problem-solving. Ensure all subcontractors have a shared understanding of project goals, timelines, and responsibilities. Miscommunication is often the root of conflicts, so regular meetings and updates are key. Clearly outline each subcontractor's scope of work in contracts or agreements. This minimizes overlap and misunderstandings about who’s responsible for what. Encourage teamwork among subcontractors through recognition programs or milestone-based incentives tied to timely and cooperative performance. Use tracking tools or regular site inspections to identify potential issues early. This allows you to intervene before conflicts impact the project schedule.
