Without a doubt being deployed myself for many years on the field; I will say to check up their mental health; there is nothing as stressfull than being in the middle on the ocean thousands of kms away from your family and poor connectivity; adding: 1. Build a trust within the team; making sure that I am here to help, guide and support at any given point on only workwise 2. Follow up with them; constant communication to make channels open to discussions and to raise concerns 3. Emphasize that there is alwags time for the operations, and prioritg are themselves as persons and if anything is needed I would ve here to support 4. If emergency arises back at home, make sure we replace him the soonest. Trust=Eficiency

First of all, for a person to remotely manage people in oil and gas, he must know the detail of the work to be done onsite. He must have a clear picture of well site/ plant etc. To successfully manage people safety at site, guide them properly, train them to be the best. CCTV camera should be setup at site. Identify key people at site and train them to lead people, in this way managing people becomes easy. Understand workers mindset.

Successful remote employees evolve over time. Even workers we see every day need the same frequent interactions to know their role in the company's strategic plans. Task specific procedural reviews help individuals understand that you know about the work they perform, the risks and dangers involved. All too often I read "comprehensive training" is needed for remote workers. I generally read "comprehensive training" as a nescience of unqualified supervisors. Happy workers are safe workers. Know and understand the details of what they do all the time. If you do not know, dust off the safety toe foot ware and find your hardhat in the closet and spend some time with your team. Be prepared to be humble and acknowledge when you learn something.
