    SPACE 🌌....literally the best way to improve logistics is SPACE, specifically storage space, and more to the point: assigned lots (cubbies/drawers/shelves/lockers/rooms/closets/etc) that make sense for the people loading/unloading, stacking, slacking, labeling, unpacking, and dealing with the byproducts (recycling, trash, etc).Workers need wide paths as well, especially in a restaurant, and more so for kitchen staff, the paths/isles/lanes, need to be labeled, but more so there needs to be space for them to operate and pass each other seamlessly.

    After years in the industry, I've found Notion to be incredibly effective for inventory management, especially for mobile operations. While specialized restaurant POS systems have their place, sometimes starting from scratch with new tech makes more sense for smaller operations. Many "ready-made" solutions are either too robust or not enough for our needs. Notion's flexibility lets us create something just right. By combining it with AI tools like Claude, we've developed custom solutions I wouldn't have thought of otherwise - from automated inventory forecasting to event-specific prep lists. The best solution isn't always the most obvious one, but rather the one you can shape to fit your exact needs.
