Develop a Detailed Offseason Maintenance Plan. Schedule core tasks like aeration, topdressing, overseeding, drainage repair, and irrigation system checks. Prioritize high-traffic or problem areas (greens, tees, bunkers) for focused work. Conduct Equipment Servicing and Inventory. Perform full maintenance on mowers, carts, sprayers, and utility vehicles. Replace worn parts, and restock turf chemicals, seed, and tools. Train and Retain Staff. Offer off-season training, certifications, or cross-training to retain your best employees. Involve staff in planning and prep to increase ownership. Document and Analyze. Log all work done, costs, and results for future planning. Evaluate what worked this past season to improve next year’s strategy.
