Once they are comfortable with the small changes, you can move to a larger change. Have them visit your classroom to see how you have adopted new practices; share data with them; attend a workshop together. Easing into change slowly with resistant peers is the best way to get them onboard with change.

You need to have everyone on board when implementing a new project; otherwise, your idea will just remain that - an idea. You also need to know the climate and if the timing is right. Lastly learning is easier but unlearn thn relearn makes things difficult as the mind questions haven't we learnt traditionally over the years inspite of all the flaws?
