The premise of the question is for Beginners so we first need to make enough work to even create a demo reel. But that’s only a quantity question, the next level up is quality. We want to always be removing our weakest work, or better yet have nothing identifiable as our weakest because everything is at the same quality level. You’ll be judged on your worst work, so make each shots quality indistinguishable from the next. To do this, it helps to have a mentor and feedback.
