In any fictional universe it is essential you establish consistent rules and, where needed, visuals that support or reinforce those rules - and this is all the more effective if you can connect these to real world expectations. For example, in Mario, spiny shells make it clear, intuitively, that landing on them is going to hurt!

Where there is smoke, there should be fire. Appreciating preconceived notions and player expectations can go a long way making the world (and your game) feel intuitive and cohesive. It does a lot for the immersion in a game as it helps to convey the player as an actor in the world, as opposed to being someone looking in from the outside. Preconceived notions can also work the other way around - which can be important when working in established franchises or other themes of established media. For example, cinema has established expectations around historical periods that aren't always accurate. Players will go in with these misconceptions - so it is important to be mindful of these expectations, and carefully educated players.

So, to solve this, you essentially must have an understanding of who your users are and what are their behaviors and tendencies. There are a lots of ways to achieve this, through research and conceptualization of user personas. Then, you can answer this question. "What is my user likely to do?" When you know how players act and respond, you can create a UX that follow their logical processes and create a strong usability. This is why studying your demography is important. Players are used to a set of mechanics and rule general to almost every game. Some other rules are intrinsic of different genres. Study, research and iterate.

When anyone Plays a game, he/she kinda except it to be similar with real-life but still a bit for Fun and entertaining. For example , "The Sims" is literally just people being people and doing normal stuff....of course there is some difference but some core rules or concepts are still there. Also one more thing we should Focus is Controls of game, whether it's Mouse, keyboard or just Touch screen... it should be smooth and easy to understand. UI of that game also needs to kinda naturally fit with the environment....it shouldn't look or feel different then the main game, this makes the user get totally lost in the game and spend lots of good time enjoying it👍

Narrative is, from my perspective, one of the most powerful tools in gaming. From my horror rpg project the story is the main focus of the game to provide immersion for the player. It also adds depth to the story when you have branching narratives determined by player logic and their choices. For me, I believe the player is the main character and their motivations shouldn’t be too dissimilar to the players, however when it comes to side character that’s where the personality and motivations matter. This adds emotion to the game, for example the idealistic hero type of player will always seek to keep their companion alive or make choices to benefit them, but this will only occur if the player has an emotional attachment to the NPC.

Un punto muy importante que no muchas veces se tiene en cuenta, una narrativa coherente creará un necesidad en el usuario de querer seguir descubriendo el videojuego. Por su puesto, dentro de este punto es muy importante tener en cuenta los mercados a los que nos dirigimos además de la localización en los diferentes idiomas jugará un papel diferencial a la hora de conectar con el jugador. Por eso este último aspecto mencionado no se debe menospreciar y se debe de realizar siempre teniendo en cuenta que la narrativa de nuestro videojuego conectará con los jugadores siempre cuando sea algo adaptado y acomodado al idioma al que se encuentra traducido.
