"Whose story is being told? Whoever is paying the bills". Commercial animation is a wonderfully creative industry full of dynamically talented and skilled people. But it's important to keep in the back of our minds one fact: The client is paying for their idea to be brought to life. Whether it's a hundred thousand dollar budget or a hundred million, the client has for whatever reason determined that we are the right people for the job. And it's up to us to provide value commensurate with the dollar figure, and prove that their trust in us was wisely placed. The great thing about this industry is that once we have satisfied the client's needs and are delivering what was asked for, or even beyond... ...we get to do whatever we want :D

This is a very touchy subject because a lot of times people try to bring down the price by saying that they didn't like this or that. One time I worked for a dollar store, the feller wanted a hand painted on the glass that pointed to the door. I did such a good job he asked me to draw ninty nine cent marks all over the top of his walls. When I got done he only gave me the amount we bargained for for the hand drawing. Just remember you are doing this for a job, so if they don't like it say ok but there will only be so many make overs before you require a fee. Of course there can be changes, but you still have to pay for the work that was done. Make this clear up front. A lot of people think, well he loves to do it so... I'll pay him less.
